TEEN HOPELINE ENCOURAGEMENT

I wish I could undo a mistake

You can be honest about what you did without deciding that your whole life is beyond repair. In Jesus, there is forgiveness and a way forward. Confession means bringing the truth into the light and asking God to help you change.

Start with God’s Word

SCRIPTURE · WORLD ENGLISH BIBLE

Romans 8:38–39

For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from God’s love which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Paul writes about God’s love in Christ in the middle of suffering, not a promise that Christians will never suffer.

ONE STEP FOR TODAY

Something you can do.

Talk with a safe parent, pastor, or trusted adult. Where you caused harm, ask how to make it right safely. If someone harmed you, that harm is not your fault and is not something you need to confess as your sin.

Go deeper: a prayer & a question

A prayer you can make your own

Father, help me be honest, receive Your forgiveness through Jesus, and take responsibility where I need to. Lead me in a new direction. Amen.

Something to reflect on

Is there a truthful, safe step toward repair that you can take with support?
