Depression support for teens

When even small things feel heavy.

Back to All topics

You can start here

Feeling low, numb, or disconnected deserves attention. You don’t have to prove that your pain is serious enough to ask for help. Depression is not a failure of faith.

A few next steps

  1. Reach out to someone safe today, even if all you can say is “I haven’t been feeling like myself.”
  2. Ask a trusted adult to help you arrange an appointment with a healthcare professional, especially if these feelings persist or disrupt daily life.
  3. If you are thinking about suicide or cannot stay safe, use the urgent-help options now and stay with a safe person.

If faith is helpful to you

Psalm 34:18

God’s closeness is not reserved for people who have everything together.
