Support for teens with suicidal thoughts

You deserve support right now.

Back to All topics

You can start here

If you are hurting yourself or thinking about ending your life, reach out to a real person now. You do not have to explain everything before asking someone to stay with you.

A few next steps

  1. If you are in immediate danger or need urgent medical care, contact local emergency services now.
  2. In the United States, call or text 988 for crisis support. If you can, move away from anything you might use to hurt yourself and stay near a safe person.
  3. Tell a trusted adult directly: “I’m not feeling safe with myself. I need you to stay with me and help me get support.”

If faith is helpful to you

Psalm 34:18

You are worthy of care in this moment. Spiritual encouragement belongs alongside immediate human support.
