FOR PARENTS

We keep arguing

You can be clear about right and wrong without turning every disagreement into a battle. Biblical parenting includes patience, instruction, and humility. A boundary is most helpful when it is understandable and expressed without threats or humiliation.

ONE STEP FOR TODAY

Something you can do.

Agree on a calm time to discuss one issue. Explain the expectation and a reasonable consequence, and listen to your teen’s perspective. If you have shouted or spoken harshly, apologize specifically while keeping an appropriate boundary.

Go deeper: a prayer & a question

A prayer you can make your own

God, help me lead with patience and courage. Give our family words that build up, and help me model the humility I want to teach. Amen.

Something to reflect on

Which one boundary needs clarity, and which part of your response needs gentleness?
