FOR PARENTS

I need help knowing what to do

You do not need every answer before you ask for help. Seeking qualified care can be an expression of wise stewardship and love. You can look for a professional who respects biblical beliefs while also having the training your family’s situation requires.

Start with God’s Word

ONE STEP FOR TODAY

Something you can do.

Ask your trusted church leadership for referrals to licensed Christian mental health professionals with adolescent experience. Verify their license with your state, ask about their approach and your faith, and discuss parent involvement and confidentiality limits. Pastoral support can complement clinical care. Do not delay urgent medical or safety help while looking for a faith match.

Go deeper: a prayer & a question

A prayer you can make your own

God, lead us toward wise and trustworthy help. Give us courage to ask clear questions and take the next step. Amen.

Something to reflect on

What support does your family need, and what would you ask a prospective counselor?
